Question: What do you call the damage to your skin after prolonged exposure to the sun?
Answer: Permanent skin damage
We call this Permanent Makeup because it is the very definition of "permanent" + "makeup". See the definition below. When pigment or ink is implanted in the skin, whether by machine for a powder brow or hand tool when microblading, it is not easily washed away, removed or erased and is continuous without fundamental or marked changed. We are tattooing makeup, so permanent makeup is: MAKEUP THAT IS PERMANENT.
Semi-permanent does NOT apply to permanent makeup. Permanent makeup uses pigment during application that will fade over time. This is on purpose. Styles and fads change. What you want to look like at 20 is not what you want to see everyday at 50.
Your eyebrows have faded? That does not mean the the pigment has disappeared. It is still there, just less visible.
Please be aware of this term floating around our industry. Permanent makeup is permanent but the color will fade.
This is your face, choose wisely. Schedule a consultation for more information.
